Add a logo to your aStore header

If you are an Amazon associate with an aStore, adding a logo or other small image to the store header can make it look more polished and memorable. A logo should leave enough room in the header to display the store name without wrapping.

Create the image

Use your existing logo or create an image that's about 75 pixels high and not so wide that it crowds your store title. For my Real Tea store, I assembled an image with a tea cup and flower shapes in Photoshop on top of a background layer matching the color of my aStore header. The image is shown below.

Transfer the image to a server

logo imageYou cannot upload the image directly into your aStore, so transfer it to your website's image folder, or to an image sharing service such as Photobucket, flickr, Picasa Web Albums, or a similar service. Display the image in your browser and copy the URL or copy the link from your image-sharing service.

Add the image to your aStore

Log in to your Amazon associate's account and click the aStore tab. Click the Edit button for your Store. In Step 2 - Color & Design, paste or type the URL of your image in the text box near the bottom of the screen. For example:

Preview the store to make sure the header text looks good. If necessary, select a different font and font-size using the tools in the edit aStore wizard. If you're happy with the look, click the Continue button to save changes.

The header, as displayed, looks like this:

That's all there is to it! Enjoy your spiffy new store header!
